In a radiant celebration of beauty, grace, and unwavering confidence, Paige Harvey was crowned Miss Soweto 2023 on the eve of her 20th birthday at the 44th Miss Soweto Final.

Hosted by the charismatic Lerato Kganyago at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, this annual event, proudly executed by Matriarch, continues to be a beacon of talent and empowerment for Soweto’s beauties. For over 40 years, White Star Miss Soweto has propelled its winners into national and international stardom, shaping them into influential figures who proudly represent South Africa on the global stage.

Here’s to Paige Harvey, the reigning queen, and the enduring legacy of Miss Soweto.


We’re still buzzing from South Africa’s epic Rugby World Cup 2023 win! Matriarch stood behind the Bokke all the way.

The Springboks epitomised belief, commitment, and confidence, conquering powerhouses like New Zealand, England & France. From last-minute penalties to jaw-dropping tries, it was an emotional rollercoaster, and we’re beyond proud of our champions.


Teaming up as the Official Confectionery Supplier to the Springboks, Cadbury, and SA Rugby created a dynamic partnership.

Matriarch proudly backed Cadbury in their nationwide #CadburyFanClub experiences, inviting sports enthusiasts to #TasteTheAction for a shot at winning R250,000 in cash or an exclusive opportunity to witness the Springboks live worldwide.

Our national fan club activations not only brought the #RugbyWorldCup2023 spirit to life but also added to the excitement surrounding this delicious partnership.


Introducing the Unforgettable Casa De Dark and Lovely Campus Tour! What an extraordinary journey it has been as we embarked on an exciting roadshow across campuses nationwide, bringing the Dark and Lovely right to students’ doorsteps.

We were proud to host yet another BREAKFAST EXTRAVAGANZA in late 2023. South Africa’s breakfast heroes, White Star, and Weet-Bix, teamed up to create the ultimate breakfast experience at #SABiggestBreakfast, and Matriarch was once again leading this incredible campaign.

This unforgettable event unfolded on NATIONAL BREAKFAST DAY, serving as a delicious reminder of the significance of the first meal of the day—breakfast, of course!

ROBERTSONS #FamousForFlavour

In the recent launch of their #FamousForFlavour campaign, Robertsons Spices invited home cooks to showcase their culinary expertise. Matriarch took pride in supporting this remarkable initiative through the #FamousForFlavour roadshow and grand finale event.

Our team traveled to malls nationwide, featuring a display of delectable dishes crafted with Robertson Spices. We encouraged customers to participate in the #FamousForFlavour competition, a platform where Robertson acknowledged and celebrated the talent of South African home cooks!
