Dale isn’t new to the Matriarch family – he’s just back in a brand-new role! After many years as our trusted Operations Manager in Cape Town, Dale has returned to the team as a Project Manager, bringing his wealth of experience, calm leadership style, and get-it-done mindset to every campaign. With a deep understanding of the inner workings of experiential marketing and a passion for people, we’re thrilled to have him back.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone entering the field of experiential marketing?
Dale lives by a timeless quote from Benjamin Franklin: “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.” It’s the kind of advice that has served him well in this fast-paced industry where things are constantly changing, and every second counts. Experiential marketing thrives on momentum, and Dale believes that tackling tasks head-on today not only builds efficiency, it frees up space for innovation and better decision-making tomorrow.
What are you most proud of in your life?
For Dale, success starts within. One of his proudest personal achievements is learning to prioritise his mental health. Taking time to focus on his emotional wellbeing has helped him grow into a more grounded, thoughtful, and resilient person—both professionally and personally. It’s something he continues to work on and feels has made him a better leader, teammate, and father.
Tell us three fun facts about yourself!
Dale’s a man of many talents—and surprises! He’s a proud dad to two daughters and a son! He’s also a huge sports junkie—not only did he play professional cricket, but he also competed in two South African Road Cycling Championships (yes, that level of serious!). And in a recent plot twist? He’s now a self-proclaimed bookworm, happily trading wheels for words in his downtime.
